Launching a Critical Service at Scale
The Co-operative Pharmacy, dispensing over 53 million prescriptions annually, needed to launch a new "Repeat Prescription" service to compete with major market rivals. Success depended on consistent execution across nearly 800 branches in Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
The L&D team faced a monumental task: rolling out a two-day "Complete Repeats" training course to every single branch within a tight 8-week window. However, they lacked the internal resource to manage the sheer scale of the logistics and delivery required for a UK-wide project of this magnitude.
End-to-End Project Management
Elite Training stepped in not just as trainers, but as a full-service project partner. We implemented a "Cascade Model," training Branch Champions who would then disseminate the knowledge to their local teams. This ensured scalability and ownership at the branch level.
Our solution went far beyond the classroom. We took full ownership of the project's operational backbone:
Full Logistics Management:
- Venue Sourcing: Identifying locations, negotiating discounts, and booking hotels/travel for all trainers.
- Materials: In-house printing and distribution of all training collateral to venues nationwide.
- Governance: Daily conference calls with HQ, robust feedback monitoring, and meticulous spend tracking for savings reviews.
Every trainer underwent a rigorous "Train the Trainer" programme to ensure they weren't just delivering content, but fully understood the "Complete Repeats" process and its strategic importance.
